Yes, it’s that time again! You ready for the weekend? Maybe some fresh sounds from the likes of Navid Izadi, Pig & Dan, Hot Since 82X-Press 2, Flow & Zeo, Maxxi Soundsystem, Huxley, Tiefschwarz, and Re.you will put you in the mood? Electrocorp Boombox #027 has arrived, so turn up the volume and get ready to shake what your mama gave ya!

San Francisco’s Navid Izadi warms things up with a huge tune, forthcoming next week on Gadi Mizrahi’s Double Standard Records. The title track, “Ain’t Got The Time” features original vocals by the DJ, producer and singer who, in the past years, has also provided vocals for Deniz Kurtel, Soul Clap and PillowTalk. Get ready to be seduced by this 80’s–esque deep groove and smooth R&B flow from one of the most forward thinking producers of the year.

20 years… and London duo Rocky & Diesel, better known as X-Press 2, are still prominent figures in the electronic dance music scene producing music and giving their support to talented newcomers such as Flow & Zeo – as well as many other new talents – who are rising to the top of the underground spectrum. Featured on Skint Records ”The House of X-Press 2 Presents: The 2012 Brazilian Remixes”, this Flow & Zeo remix of “The Blast” reveals a softer side of the married duo’s usually hard edged productions.

Igor Tchkotoua and Dan Duncan aka Pig & Dan serve up this next track forthcoming next week on renowned Techno/Tech-House label Suara’s third Various Artists Compilation “Kitties Wanna Dance”. Yes, it is the season for label-specific VA Compilations where rising stars of the EDM scene are spotlighted alongside already established producers. Giving us a sneak peek of what is yet to come, Coyu, Spanish DJ/producer and label head of Suara, packed a rather beefy and flavorful bunch of artists including Hot Since 82, Sharam Jey, Ramiro Lopez, Tapesh & Dayne S, Fideles, Sidney Charles, Maximiljan and many more… resulting in one of the tastiest compilations around, where there’s a little something for everyone to sink their teeth into. Now dig into the surprisingly deep vibes of Pig & Dan featuring vocals by John Anderson and Monika Dybicz, but make sure to save room for the other 19 cuts as they are all just as delicious!

I am telling you Suara’s compilation is just too good to feature only one track! So here’s another prime pick from up and coming Leeds producer Hot Since 82 with “Planes & Trains”. Enjoy!

Kicking up the pace a bit, this next pick is seriously too hot to handle! Paying homage to UK Garage House with a classic vocal sample, Brighton talent Sam Watts aka Maxxi Soundsystem delivers “Stella’s Way” for his big debut on Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio. Michael Dodman aka Huxley transforms this already sizzling dancefloor filler by rolling it around in the dirt a few times, to create a filthy bomb that is so massive that it will not only set the floor on fire but will tear the roof off and annihilate the entire club. No doubt! This one must be handled with extreme caution!

Closing out this week’s playlist are brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz aka Tiefschwarz with “Hurricane”, and Re.You on the remix tip. Yet another huge tune accompanying the many others which are forthcoming next week, this one will be released on the brothers Berlin based label Souvenir. It’s time to get weird! Turn it up! With lots of love, Dena.
