Le Electrocorp Boombox #025 is primed, primped and brimming with multiple orgasmic tunes from the likes of Karol XVII & MB Valence, Matches, Manik, Jeremy Glenn, Climbers, Addo, Junk Yard Rhythm Section, Tigerskin, NTFO and Rhadow! Turn it up and get turned on …
Easing our way into this week’s playlist with Miami-based DJ and producer Matches, who delivers a seriously smooth and extremely deep remix of Polish trio Karol XVII & MB Valence’s funk-filled, disco tinged extravaganza “Dub Leader”, forthcoming on October 15 via the newly established House and Techno label Nightrider Recordings. Founded by Spag aka Thomas Libal, a 20 year veteran in the electronic dance scene, there is no doubt this newly born imprint has got the experience and the wisdom to put out some quality tunes and this amazing release is proof. So, play it loud and soak into the positive vibes!
Next up is a handful of very talented young producers in the underground dance scene: New-York bred MANIK, Nu-Disco vocalist Jeremy Glenn and the Mexicali duo Climbers. Set to be released on October 16th, courtesy of Nurvous Records, Climbers add their stamp to MANIK’s original track “Parasol” by laying down their signature groove and topping it off with sparkling, sunshining rays of golden synths. Jeremy Glenn’s vocals sweeten the groove with a flavorful splash of infectious, 90’s R&B lyrics that are sure to make the ladies swoon. This one is guaranteed to produce some major heat on the dancefloor. So… don’t forget your parasol! Wink, wink.
Picking up the pace now, here come Junk Yard Rhythm Section with their latest effort, a brilliant Electro-Infused-Deep-Tech-House 3-track emotional affair – yes, it’s all that and then some – released on the Bucharest-based label Slot Recordings. The New Orleans natives Ryan Deffes and Barrett Bonura give us a taste of their deeper, darker side with “Always” delivering another dancefloor bomb that, in my opinion, is the perfect compliment to their last huge floor-filler “Falling” (which I still have on heavy rotation, might I add).
More incredible sounds from another Romanian talents, with Andrei Stefan aka Addo, now based in Spain, who gives us his signature blend of the two cultures and their differing musical styles to create a 3-track Spanish adventure that is ready to hit the dancefloor at any hours of the day and straight through into the night. This will be Addo’s debut EP on Trick Track Records which will be available digitally on October 15th, marking the fourth release for the blossoming Netherlands-based label.
I must admit that anytime I see Rhadow’s name attached to the title of a track, I get excited in ways that you could only imagine. He never disappoints me, especially when he teams up with NTFO: the pair can transform any Tech-House beat into a warm and intoxicating Deep-House orgasm. Mmm… Yes, less bounce to the ounce and more smooth to the groove please! Tigerskin “The Blackness EP” is now out on Get Physical Records, via Beatport. Much love always, Dena.
