Le Boombox is our weekly, tasty selection of Club-oriented music for DJs… but be aware ! By “Club-Music”, we don’t mean David Guetta or Skrillex, and you won’t be able to find some Steve Aoki or Deadmau5′s so-called music. These aren’t what we want to hear in a good club. Here, we are talking about good House rhythms, heavy Techno anthems, groovy tunes that will make you girlfriend’s ass bang like a conga and your forehead as wet and hot as a tropical island in summer.
This week, we start strong with the brand new release from the French producer Chris Carrier on OFF Recordings. The track is a pure, simple and effective House production with a “four to the floor” drums pattern and funky samples. Basic = Essential !
Then, we have the Deep-House tune of the selection, today represented by Los Suruba featuring Louisahhh. Let’s see our checklist : crazy bassline, check ! strange-spaced-out vocals, check ! layered-keyboards building and nice drop, check ! Nice job on this one Los Suruba.
Robert Babicz, from Poland, handles the Tech-House side of the selection. His “Cyberlove” is an effective, powerful track. 100% made for Big-Rooms and perfectly fitting the upcoming Miami Winter Conference.
You might remind the amazing remix of Sneaky Sound System‘s “Big” by Nicolas Jaar that we featured in our Best Of Deep-House 2011. Well, now, it’s time for Funkagenda to remix a track from the band … and he did it just right by gathering Italo-Disco sonorities, Electro-Pop freshness, all played over an heavy beat, making it a perfect warm-up track.
Last track is a real anthem produced by Jona for Get Physical Music in 2008 ! It contains some nice latin vibes, a strong building and good drop exploding around 3minutes. You don’t want to miss it !
Keep up the good vibes, Antwan Shalom.
